AAAUGH, I want to slap him. But that's counter-productive.
(Sorry, having trouble getting to the latest page on the main site, so here I am.)

it's really my fault I forgot to fix the button in the landing page :(

Why do you want to slap him? (there are many reasons that's why I'm curious XD)

I think what made the most irrationally mad is that he's sort of technically RIGHT, here as far as child soldiers being a bad thing is concerned. How dare you get something right, you creep, even by accident, my lizard brain hollers, you're messing up my pattern.

It also doesn't help that the dude who killed Basil (and not in combat, either) is alive because of Basil, in a weird extended way. (I wonder how much of a conscious decision it was on his part not to stab Alex and how much it was prewar reflex...speaking of which, is that his bayonet she's holding?)

Arthur is a messed up guy, he will be messing up a ton of patterns XD

Very impressive! Yes it IS his bayonet! And I will answer your question as I don't think Arthur will ever get to- his decision not to stab Alex was pretty conscious. Arthur doesn't kill kids. If you recall during the reprisals, he had opted out of killing the kids of that poor unnamed Athenian family, it was Raban that polished them off. And it was because he couldn't see Fotis as an enemy, but only as a child, that he allowed Basil to escape without a fight when he was fetching Fotis!

This is what I get for failing to re-read and forgetting important plot points, aaugh.
As my people say: even a blind hog finds an acorn once in a while. :p
